Sunday Morning Reader's Typika

For the time being, we are holding reader's typika services at 10:00 on Sunday mornings. They usually last around between 60 and 90 minutes, followed by "coffee hour" in the trapeza, which is usually a full meal.

For those unfamiliar with reader's typika services, they are the services performed in the absence of a priest. While they generally follow the same format as the Divine Liturgy that would be performed by a priest, all of the priest's parts are absent. Of course, this also includes the Gifts of Holy Communion. We still sing many of the same songs, read a sermon from a saint or the archdiocese, and read the lives of the saints commemorated on that day.
