Wednesday Evening Reader's Vespers

For the time being, we are holding reader's vespers services on Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m.

For those unfamiliar, a vespers service is an evening service. It is the first of the liturgical day. As it says in Genesis, "and there was evening and morning, the first day." Therefore, we commemorate the saints of that Thursday.

The reader's version of Vespers is essentially the same as that performed with a priest, albeit a little shorter. You are welcome to stay afterward for a glass of wine and conversation in the trapeza.
